Sodalite is a rich royal blue sodium aluminium silicate mineral widely enjoyed as an ornamental stone. Although massive Sodalite samples are opaque crystals are usually transparent to translucent. Sodalite was discovered in Greenland in 1806

Sodalite is said to bring order and calmness to the mind. It supposedly encourages rational thought, objectivity, truth and intuition, along with verbalisation of feelings. Sodalite is believed to bring emotional balance and calms panic attacks., whilst enhancing self-esteem, self-acceptance and self-trust.
