What’s the Difference Between Raw and Tumbled Crystals?

Raw crystals are basically crystals in their natural, unpolished form, so they usually look rough, jagged, and very earthy.

Tumbled crystals, on the other hand, have been polished and smoothed out in a machine, so they’re shiny, smooth, and rounded. They’re great if you want something easy to carry around in your pocket or use for jewellery, since they’re comfortable to hold and look really pretty.

How Do I Cleanse My Crystals for the First Time?

When you get a new crystal, it’s a good idea to clear out any energy it picked up before it came to you. The easiest way we like to do this is to gently rinse it under running water for a minute or two (just make sure your crystal isn’t one that can dissolve or get damaged by water, like selenite or pyrite).

If water’s not an option, you can also smudge it by waving it through the smoke of sage, palo santo, or incense.
